He obtained his honours bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto majoring in Equity Studies. He then went on to law school to earn his Juris Doctor degree. Dara also completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop from Osgoode Hall Law School. Dara has practiced for several years in the areas of civil litigation and family law.
Before being called to the bar, he articled at a full-service boutique law firm in downtown Toronto. There, he gained experience handling civil and family cases, and appeared regularly to argue at spousal sponsorship appeal hearings.
Prior to joining Stephen Durbin and Associates, Dara practiced at a boutique family law and residential real estate law firm.
Dara has appeared before the Superior Court of Ontario, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
He is fluent in English and verbally fluent in Khmer.
