An internationally trained lawyer with more than a decade of practice across multiple jurisdictions, Fisola built her foundation in the academic study of law, graduating as the top student in the Law of Taxation and receiving the C.S. Ola Prize for that achievement. Her final-year thesis, a critical appraisal of tax evasion and tax avoidance drawing on empirical data from several jurisdictions, foreshadowed the analytical, cross-border sensibility she brings to every file. She went on to earn a Master of Laws, and upon relocating to Canada, requalified through the rigorous National Committee on Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, becoming a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Fisola draws from an unusually broad professional life. She began in general practice, representing clients in both civil, and criminal proceedings and championing alternative dispute resolution as a faster, less adversarial path to justice. She deepened her command of taxation and statutory interpretation during her years with the Canada Revenue Agency, and honed her corporate, commercial, and estate-planning expertise across two firms in the Bluestar group — incorporating and advising companies, negotiating shareholder and purchase agreements, structuring estate plans, and guiding executors through probate. This breadth is precisely what lets her think outside the conventional lines and add real value: a family matter is rarely only a family matter, and Fisola brings corporate, tax, and estates fluency to bear.

It is in family law that Fisola has found her calling. She manages caseloads spanning divorce, parenting time and decision-making responsibility, child and spousal support, equalization of net family property, domestic contracts, and separation agreements — appearing before the Ontario family courts at motions, case conferences, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials. Above all, she practises with empathy and a trauma-informed approach, maintaining steady, responsive communication through what is often the most difficult period of a client’s life, and keeping the well-being of any children squarely at the centre.

Guided by the principles of the rule of law, procedural fairness, and access to justice, Fisola is dedicated to helping clients navigate family law matters with integrity, diligence, and compassion.
